Easter wedding at No4 Clifton Village.

REAL WEDDINGS

Kate & Craig had their Easter Sunday wedding at No4 Clifton Village – the Rodney hotel. This was my first visit to the venue but it was clear to see why the couple had chosen this charming Georgian house for their special day.

When I arrived Criag was already in the bar area talking to some guests, he seemed relax sipping on a glass of pimms and lemonade. I said a quick hello but left him to mingle while I took some pictures of the venue.

Kate arrived not long after, she was ahead of time allowing me to get a few shots of her and her bridesmaids outside before the ceremony started.

The beautiful bride was walked down the aisle by her father. Both the bride and groom looked so happy to see each other and smiled throughout the whole ceremony.

The intimate wedding venue meant that all their friends and family could see and hear perfectly throughout the ceremony. It also gave me the opportunity to shoot from the back giving a lovely different view point which wouldn’t work with a lot of wedding venues.

We headed outside for some group shots but the spring showers forced us back inside. I took the opportunity to photograph the couple alone on the lovely stairwell which had beautiful natural light. Luckily the weather soon perked up and with the sun shining we were back in the garden to finish the family formals.

Speeches were before the wedding breakfast, starting with the father of the bride. The groom then thanked everyone and his new bride also wanted to say a few words. As Kate pointed out it is slightly untraditional for the bride to talk but I thought it was a really nice touch. The grooms best man then humorously finished the speeches by listing a few reasons as to why he thought he was the better brother out of the two of them.

The couples well thought out Easter theme saw a colour scheme of yellow and white flowers. They decorated all the tables with small Easter eggs for all the guests and had made a beautiful home made cake with little chicks as decoration.
