Hilton Aztec West Bristol wedding
I first met Victoria & Jon a year ago and even back then they were super organised and had most of their wedding day planned. It was therefore no surprise when I met Victoria in her hotel room at the Hilton Aztec West, Bristol that she was completely calm and on top of everything.
The Hilton Aztec West offers a large empty space, a perfect blank canvas for the couple to decorate to their taste and colour scheme. Every detail about the wedding was hand picked personally by the couple. Professional bargain hunter Victoria used her savvy skills to source everything online including her wedding dress. She even started a new Facebook page for her followers ‘the diary of a budget bride to be’ where she shared her wedding ideas and the deals she found leading up to the day.
Victoria & Jon wanted their son to be a big part of the wedding and had him do the important job of carrying the wedding rings. I watched as he practiced his role perfectly in the hotel room with one of the bridesmaids. However when it came down to the ceremony I think the excitement got a little too much and instead he wanted to be carried and held tightly by mum.
The bridesmaids led the way both carrying humorous little signs aimed at the groom, the first saying ‘she’s nearly here’ and the other ‘last chance to run’. It was clear however Jon wasn’t going anywhere he was more than happy to wait for his beautiful bride.
The couple exchanged their vows united with their son between them, the love shared in his presence made the day even more special and emotional. Victoria even shed a tear as her nan read out a short reading.
A few formals were then held outside in the court yard, the couple had already expressed they didn’t want to have too many done so they could just enjoy the day with their family and friends
After the wedding breakfast there were three speeches by the father of the bride, the groom and the best man. Gifts were exchanged and important family thanked for their role in the day.
The couple started the evening do with their first dance to Annie’s Song by John Denver and as it came to an end confetti cannons were blasted over the pair.
