It has always been a pleasure photographing weddings in Bradford on Avon and Leigh Park hotel was no exception.

Kayla and Mark had booked me to photograph their wedding many months before I actually got to meet them. It’s not unusual when clients live quite far away, so I generally suggest we meet at the venue a few months before the big day.

When that day finally came they both made me feel welcome straight away and I just knew that their big day would be very special. We talked and bounced ideas over plans for the wedding and discussed photo opportunities we could take in the lovely garden at Leigh Park hotel.

On the wedding day bridal prep started at the couples home where Kayla & the girls were getting ready. Hair and make up had began and everyone was excited for the day ahead.

The couple were actually getting married at Trowbridge registry office before heading to Leigh Park hotel for the wedding reception. The registry office has several rooms but they had chosen the beautiful wooden panelled ‘Members room’ to tie the knot.

The short ceremony with one reading was soon over and everyone gathered outside to throw confetti on the couple. We took a few family photo’s there but waited until we got to Leigh Court hotel for the main photo’s.

The venue was already set up when we arrived with welcome drinks being served to guests. The weather was great for a wedding so early in the year so we made the most of the outdoor space for couple shots and family formals.

The speeches were after food and had everyone was in stitches. This couple had genuinely not stopped smiling all day and the evening festivities carried on late into the night. You can see my blog on their Bradford on Avon photo booth here.
