Nailsea Tithe Barn Wedding

Couple look out on to the lake near their Nailsea Tithe barn wedding

DIY wedding at Nailsea Tithe Barn, the perfect blank canvas!

Nailsea Tithe barn is a great place for a DIY wedding. The exposed brickwork barn is a large open space where you can decorate and add your own touches to make it unique and tailored to your wedding ideas.

The barn dates back to 1480 and has been fully restored to its origins but with modern facilities. The community hall can be hired for a number of different events but it works fantastic as a wedding venue being able to hold a capacity of 120 guests.

Laura & Mike had been planning their DIY wedding for months. They had everything arranged calling on family and friends to help with the organisation of the day. Between them they made bunting, arranged flowers, baked the cake and they put on the finest spread with homemade chutneys and pies. They even had a friend’s band play for the evening entertainment.

Nailsea Tithe barn has some outside space with a little courtyard area. Guests gathered outside after the ceremony to throw confetti as the couple walked out. We then stayed there for the family photos before heading off just the three of us to a nearby natural beauty spot.

The couple photo’s are always an important part of the day and something I love to capture as I know they will be cherished. Taking a short break away from everyone is a great chance for the couple to have their first real catchup. The lead up to a wedding can be a bit manic so I often get told this time is appreciated.
