Bristol zoo wedding
Bristol Zoo wedding
When Jenny & Rich told me about their Bristol zoo wedding at the Clifton Pavilion, I can’t lie I got pretty excited. Who doesn’t love a visit to the zoo? The Pavilion itself is also a stunning wedding venue.
The day started at the couple’s home with Jenny & her bridesmaids getting ready. The girls were calm and everything was running smoothly. Jenny is a super organised person so it was no surprise that they were ready in plenty of time.
It always helps when a bride isn’t rushing as it allows plenty of opportunity for photos beforehand. I even managed to get to the venue in good time to take a quick photo of the room at the zoo before guests arrived.
The Clifton Pavilion has a spectacularly grand-looking wedding room with amazing gold wallpaper. It’s tastefully decorated with a subtle animal theme. It would be a great venue by itself but the fact it is attached to the zoo just makes it even more special.
After the ceremony guests gathered downstairs for welcome drinks and to throw confetti over the newly married couple. Having confetti thrown in doors is a must at the zoo for the safety of the animals.
Pictures in the Zoo
Heading outside for group photos the weather was a bit touch and go so umbrellas were at the ready. This didn’t dishearten the couple and instead we found shelter with the penguins, allowing the rest of the guests some free time to explore.
The zoo offers a diverse variety of backdrops for the couple’s photo’s so we were spoilt for choice with all the animals and various gardens.
After seeing the zoo, guests regathered for speeches and food. The groom gave a hilarious speech setting the bar high for the best man to outdo, however, both men successfully had the audience in stitches.
The couple had hired a band for the evening’s entertainment. They managed to fill the dance floor after first dance and people were dancing the night away.
They had also hired my Photo Booth which is always popular with guests. You can see the images here from the night.
