HOW LONG WILL YOU BE THERE ON THE DAY?

We can discuss exact start time nearer the day but for videography I think it’s important to be there for as much of the day as possible so I would generally say I will be there three hours before the ceremony to cover prep until dancing in the evening. This allows me to obtain enough footage to build the story in your wedding film. If you don’t want certain parts of the day covered then just let me know when we have our meeting.

HOW MANY CAMERAS DO YOU USE?

I use a minimum of 3 cameras for the ceremony and speeches, this allows me to cut between different angles and capture everything. The rest of the day I tend to use one main camera swapping lenses when necessary.

WHEN WILL WE GET OUR FILM?

Video takes longer to edit than photos so your wedding film is usually delivered within 3-4 months of your wedding. This can vary at peak times but I aim to edit your film as soon after the wedding as possible. You will then receive your films through a personal online gallery where you can view and download them. The gallery will be active for 10 years so you can go in again and download them as many times as you need.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?

I use sony mirrorless cameras which are capable of recording 4k. I want my equipment to be small, discreet and minimal something that people are familiar with and not off-putting. Most of the time your guests aren’t even aware that they are being filmed. I also use small clip on microphones when recording the ceremony and speeches so they are barely visible in your photographs.

CAN YOU TAKE PHOTOS AS WELL?

Wedding days are a fast paced environment and I truly believe you need two people to cover both photo and video. If you are interested in booking both then I can bring in an associate shooter so we cover it between us. The benefit of this is I can run the day, you get my editing style on your photos and film and the second shooter will be someone I have worked with before so we will work as a team.

WHAT IF WE ALREADY HAVE A PHOTOGRAPHER?

This is absolutely no problem, I love working with other creatives and I am more than happy to communicate with your photographer on the day to make sure we both get everything we need and capture amazing memories for you.

CAN WE PICK THE MUSIC?

To give me the best results I feel it’s important that I choose the tracks that will match the footage and general flow of the wedding. I am happy to discuss different styles and tastes of music with you before hand to see how you envision your wedding film and I keep this in mind when making my selections. All music I use has to be licensed so chart songs are not possible I’m afraid.

DO YOU TRAVEL?

Yes absolutely although I am a Bristol wedding videographer, I love to travel and experience new places, going to different types of venues. My rate includes travel within England and Wales however if you are getting married in Scotland or abroad please get in contact and we can work out reasonable travel costs.

DO YOU HAVE ANY TIPS?

Yes I will happily share my tips and tricks for getting the best footage and audio from your wedding day. I will discuss this with you at our meeting but if you want to hear more now then just get in contact and I can talk you through how I curate wedding stories.

HOW CAN WE BOOK?

Once I have confirmed my availability, I can send a digital contract for you to sign. I do also require a £400 booking fee to secure your wedding date in my diary and make everything official. 

HOW CAN WE PAY?

My preferred payment method is by bank transfer however I can take debit or credit cards payments as well. After the initial booking fee, you can either choose to pay in instalments or the full balance will be payable 8 weeks before the wedding. 

ARE YOU INSURED?

Yes as a Bristol wedding videographer not only is my equipment insured but I am also covered for public liability, professional indemnity and employers liability. If your venue need to see any certificates then please just ask them to send me an email and I can send all the necessary paper work over to them.

CAN WE BUY THE RAW FOOTAGE?

If you want to keep as much footage as possible then there is an option to purchase a documentary style FOMO edit. This is all the usable clips placed into one continuous timeline. The clips will be colour corrected and sorted getting rid of any truly unflattering bits that you would never want to be seen, everything else is in there.
